The detailing, as shown on this balcony, appears soft and highlights the major architectural features without overpowering colors. You need to take a a good look at this house in order to appreciate the beauty and lovely design details. Subtle colors properly placed can have a calming effect on architectural detailing. The fun part of this project was employing all the colors without having any one of them “pop” and disturb the overall look of the house. The pop was left to the carriage house doors.

Goal
The request I received from the owners was to create a stylish home that was not a wildly colored Painted Lady.
Solution
Working with the gray roof and foundation stonework was imperative to creating a stunning color scheme. The body is an historic gray/green with the trim in an equally historic soft-white.
