History

This is a rare single story Victorian Queen Anne style house from the late 19th century. Unique Victorian one-story home in Colorado

This type of house was designed to be built on a long narrow lot.  These were often built near transportation lines such as street cars or railroads. They had their most decorative elements, gables and porches facing the street.

The owner desired a color scheme more tied to when the house was built, more what it would have looked like in the 1890s.

Solution

A period darker tan body is topped with a yellow gable.  The two body colors re tied together by a darker brown trim and period red windows.
