Lots of cooks for this soup.

These duplex style condo units suffered from a typical set of problems for this type of development: each owner wanted a different look and/or color for their unit.  The management was sympathetic and contacted me to help develop a new set of colors that would achieve the owners goals.  Broad reaching discussion with the various owners brought about some basic conclusions: everyone wanted a darker lower level to tie the building to the landscape. They also wanted a common trim color to stress the unity of the two buildings – four units. The owners also wanted a different soft color for each unit body.

Look Ma, no meetings!

All work on this project  was accomplished without a single meeting – everything was done via email and the process moved along quickly. Everyone is more than happy with the results!

A common dark base color and light trim were picked by the owners from several combinations.  Then body colors were selected from another group of complementary colors that worked with both the lower area and trim color as well as among themselves.  Each owner to customize their color choice.

Goal & Solution

Goal

Each unit owner wanted a different look and/or color for their unit.  Owners of high end condos often have the desire to personalize their units.

Solution

A common dark base color and light trim were picked by the owners from several combinations.  Then body colors were selected from another group of complementary colors that worked with both the lower area and trim color as well as among themselves.  This allowed each owner to customize their color choice and not worry about their neighbors.
