Small house, big colors

Small efficient homes with seemingly large spaces with bold exteriors can make modern architecture feel comfy and inviting. Just because a house is small does not mean it can’t handle 4 or 5 colors on the exterior. In fact, the use of so many colors makes the house look larger than it actually is.

Creating the Not So Big House

This new construction project was taken from a design in the popular Sarah Susanka’s “Creating the Not So Big House” book. The modern color scheme reflects the owners desire to adhere to the architects original color recommendations. Contemporary homes can be just as visually exciting as historical ones when appropriate colors are employed in a thoughtful manner.
