Marine Corps Housing

Clark Realty Capital and Clark Builders Group worked with the Department of the Navy to redevelop 250 units at MCLB Albany Georgia. When complete, the community will be comprised of 110 units, including 27 duplexes and 56 single-family units. The new homes will consist of three- and four- bedroom Traditional and Arts and Crafts homes. Each home will include Corian countertops, ample storage space, and Energy Star appliances. All homes will also have two-car garages, covered patios, and fenced-in backyards. Homes will cluster around a new Community Center, that features a teen meeting room and a fitness area with an integral play room. Other amenities include a swimming pool, Splash Park, tot lots, picnic areas, basketball, and volleyball courts.

Colors & details

I partnered with Clark Realty, Clark Builders Group and the Department of the Navy to develop the color schemes for all 110 buildings as well as advising on the addition of new architectural details to allow the structures have a more historically accurate look and feel. The color schemes were traditional but lively to provide a cherry atmosphere for the families.

Goal & Solution

Goal

The Navy wanted to provide an historical looking typical home town look and feel for the Marines.

Solution

I helped add architectural details to the plans to provide a more historic look to the buildings and then supplied period colors and color placement to bring that home town feel.
